An Absolute arm from Hexagon is a technically highly complex precision measuring instrument. It should be serviced regularly to ensure that they always function optimally. Maintenance programs significantly extend the service life of a mobile measuring arm and are a recommended investment. The appropriate maintenance intervals for your Absolute Arm depend on the location and type of use of the device. We generally recommend a 12-month maintenance program. However, for daily use and/or use in harsh environments, a maintenance program with shorter intervals is recommended.

• Cleaning of the Absolute Arm, accessories and housing
• RDS and Firmware Updates
• Condition indicator and analysis for measuring arm (SMART)
• Mechanical parts check
• Cable check and inspection
• Probe and arm TKJ inspection
• Check of FP / CP and battery charge status
• Full error correction with acceptance in accordance with DIN EN ISO 10360-12

Information on shipping and returning the measuring arm

• The customer is responsible for arranging shipment of the measuring arm (including reference probe) to the Hexagon Service Centre. The address of the Hexagon Service Centre and the booked maintenance appointment will be communicated by the Hexagon branch in a separate email after the order has been placed.
• The return delivery of the measuring arm to the delivery address selected when ordering will be organised by the Hexagon branch at the confirmed shipping costs.
